The Yaharam Story: A Journey into Cultural Roots

The Yaharam project was born in 2015 from the passion of a small group of researchers for intangible cultural heritage. Initially, it was a modest blog where we shared discoveries from local archives and interviews with tradition bearers from isolated villages.

By 2018, we had systematized the knowledge and launched our first educational platform, offering structured articles on topics such as winter rituals, regional folk costumes, and the structure of the traditional family. Collaborations with universities brought essential academic depth.

In 2021, we expanded our mission through the "Oral Archive" project, recording over 200 folk stories and songs at risk of disappearing. This effort solidified Yaharam's position as a credible resource for students and enthusiasts.

Today, we continue to map regional cultural identities, with a special focus on passing knowledge on to younger generations. Every article, every audio documentary is a brick in the edifice of collective memory that we are building together.
